Taking it all the way back. I remember the first time meeting you. 5 years ago. You decided to come guard me (Carmela) in Cook Hall, IU's men and women's basketball practice facility. What do you miss the most about IU? What I think I miss most about IU is playing in Assembly Hall in front of those IU fans. There is nothing like it. Hands down the best place to play in the country!

I (Jasmine) met you for the first time at a basketball party. How has your mindset towards life changed since then? I believe my mindset has changed drastically since then. I believe the experiences I have been through since then made me grow up. I believe I'm way more confident and definitely more mature than I was.

How does it feel to be back in Indiana playing for the Pacers? Anything you want the fans to know? It feels good to be back in Indiana playing for the Pacers. Nothing like coming back to my second home to play. If I could tell Pacers fans anything - it's that I'm hungry and I'm ready to take the next step in my career here as a Pacer!

We're excited to see you back in our home state! You also just launched your singing career. Congrats! What’s the main message you’re trying to send with your album? The message I think I"m trying to send across is that if you have a gift and a dream don't be afraid to share it with the world even if people criticize you over it. It's a part of life. The second thing is just to let everyone listen to good music that they can relate to!

We have to ask. What are your thoughts on Trump? Not too many thought on Trump. I mean he speaks for himself. The things he does and says are really unbelievable and that it comes from our President - it's really sad honestly. All we can do as a people is come together, make change, and pray for him.

Here at mela:mcnew, we take pride engaging with a natural lifestyle, constantly integrating ways to be healthier & more balanced all around. What are you personal tips for a healthy lifestyle? If I could give some tips, it would be - what you put in your body is what you get out. If you work out then go eat terrible, you won't see results.

You sound like an old soul millennial! The time of day you eat your three meals and your snack matters as well. The later you eat, the harder it is for your body to digest. Stay hydrated. I feel like that helped me a lot this summer. I lost 20 pounds by eating right, working out, and drinking a gallon of water a day.

That's great. We try to drink a gallon of alkaline or spring water every day. You don't meet a ton of people really trying to improve from the inside out It's really about your mindset. You can really accomplish whatever goal you want and live a healthy, lean life if you dedicate your mind and your time to it, but it's easier said than done.
